Bring your sweetheart, family and friends to this beautiful 3 level log cabin with a lake shore on three sides and an amazing mountain view. On a clear day you can see up to 3 mountain ranges. With 2 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and three queen size sleeper sofas the cabin is suitable for 6 adults and 6 children.. When you enter Down By The Water! through the French doors you will find a comfortable living room with a gas fireplace, a complete kitchen and spacious dining room. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Off the living room is the master bedroom with a king size bed, TV, fireplace and diamond shape recessed whirlpool tub next to a full-size bathroom for your convenience.
The open stairway leads you to the semi-private loft. The hallway from the living room leads you to the main level master bedroom and bathroom with double sinks and to a large screened, wrap around porch.
The open stairway also leads to the lower level where you will find a family room with a pool table, a foosball table, and two queen size sleeper sofas. Off the family room is the second bedroom with a king size bed. Adjacent to the bedroom is the 3rd full-size bathroom with a washer and dryer for your convenience.
On the lower level the outside door leads to the lower porch where you will find two rocking chairs with a marvelous sunrise view of the lake and the gorgeous Smoky Mountains. Adjacent to the porch is the 4th full-size bathroom, and an upper deck with a gazebo, a cozy hot tub.
On the lower deck you can get that perfect tan while sunbathing on all-weather-purpose lounge chairs or swimming in the private swimming pool. With solar lighting you may want to take an evening swim. And after a relaxing swim head toward the fire pit with all-weather purpose Adirondack chairs. Just below the fire pit is the dock on the point of the lake with seating to watch the sunset or the fish jump. Bring your fishing pole, try to catch one, release and try again the next day.

Outdoor pool is seasonal and is open from late-May through mid-September.

Everything was GREAT!

Headline: Reading some of the reviews had us alittle nervous but once we arrived that all changed. The water is alittle stinky but Positive: Everything. The location was 11/10. The beds were exceptionally comfortable! Negative: Nothing, everything was GREAT!

The rental was great! Our family of 6 adults and 6 kids between 8 and 16 had a blast. Our favorite was the pool and fishing. The water in the hot tub and master bath does leave orange suds but we are used to well water and it didn't bother us. Just a heads up for those picky people it may bother. We got to see some wild life and thats all my special needs brother wanted, he got to see a bear swimming. That was awesome of course!!!! Overall 100% satisfaction from our family. We didn't want to leave ? ? ? ?.

It was a beautiful cabin on the pond, We saw a lot of wildlife, family enjoyed fishing, swimming, and making s'mores! The road getting in to the cabin is very steep. We would stay again.

Renter beware

We were extremely disappointed with our spring break stay at this cabin. Upon arrival, the property was already in poor condition. There was trash scattered throughout the yard as if animals had gotten into it, beer cans under the stairs, and even a sticker stuck to the inside couch. The vacuum did not work, which made it difficult to clean up anything ourselves. Unfortunately, the bigger issues quickly followed. Two of the toilets did not flush, leaving nine people sharing just one working toilet on the lower level. On top of that, the water had a strong sulfur smell whenever it was turned on. We made multiple attempts to contact Edencrest with little to no response. We eventually had to drive to the office in person, where we were assured one of the toilets would be fixed that same day. We accepted that only one additional toilet would be repaired—but even that did not happen. Maintenance came briefly, left, and never returned. By our last day, nothing had been resolved, and we had spent far too much of our vacation waiting on updates that never came. What made this experience especially frustrating is that we have rented from Edencrest before and had a great experience. However, this stay was completely different. It’s one thing for issues to arise—but it’s another to make promises to guests and fail to follow through, with little to no communication. Additionally, the property does not match the listing photos. The fire pit area is overgrown with weeds, the dock is broken, and the outdoor chairs are unusable. Inside, furniture is damaged—cracked and even held together with tape. In the lower level, there appears to be a leak coming from the ceiling into the sink. Overall, the cabin is in serious disrepair and not properly maintained. We felt misled by the listing and unsupported throughout our stay. I would not recommend this property. There are far better options available—renters beware.
