Typically, the more spectacular the view the greater the climb. If you prefer a lower elevation, please contact our Vacation Planners to help you find a home that may better suit your preference.

It is important to note that hot tubs should be used with caution.  Persons using any medication or anyone with a medical condition should consult a physician before using the hot tub since medications may induce drowsiness, may affect heart rate, blood pressure and circulation. Pregnant women and women who may possibly be pregnant, should not use the hot tub. The use of alcohol or drugs in or around the tub and/or swimming pool is prohibited. The hot tub may cause lightheadedness and use of these substances may lead to unconsciousness with the possibility of drowning.

Water temperatures between 100 degrees and 104 degrees are considered safe for a healthy adult. Lower water temperatures are recommended for young children. Do not permit children to use the hot tub and/or swimming pool unless they are closely supervised at all times. Do not stay in the hot tub for extended periods of time. Set reasonable time limits (10 minutes is recommended for adults. 5 minutes maximum for children at a temperature lower than 100). Prolonged use of hot tubs beyond reasonable time limits or more than the recommended number of users in hot tub at one time can cause irritated skin, imbalance of chemicals and/or other injuries.

We love our four-legged family members. Many of our cabins are pet friendly. Only dogs are allowed in designated pet-friendly cabins. Please be respectful of cabin owners wishes and do not sneak dogs into non-pet friendly cabins. Remember, some individuals have severe pet allergies. Sneaking pets that are not approved into cabins or approved dogs into non-pet friendly cabins could cause serious health issues for others and in turn become very costly for you.

Pet Friendly cabins do not require a pet fee or pet deposit for the first dog. However, all dogs must be crated when you leave them in the cabin unattended. This if for their safety and yours. Even the most well-behaved pet can become distressed when left alone in unfamiliar surroundings.

Please note the following policy:

  1. No more than 2 dogs are allowed. If you are bringing 2 dogs, you must register both dogs with us and pay a $50 non-refundable pet fee for the second dog. Management reserves the right to charge additional fees for approved larger dogs, if an exception to pet size is permitted.
  2. There is a 30-pound maximum size limit. (Larger crate-trained dogs may be considered only on a case-by-case basis. Dogs that are not permitted under any circumstances include: Pit Bull, Rottweiler and Doberman.)
  3. No dogs under 12 months of age are permitted.
  4. No cats or any other animals are permitted.
  5. The dog(s) must be inspected by our front desk personnel.
  6. The dog(s) must be crated in the cabin any time that the guest is not present.
  7. Guest must clean up after their pet when walking the dog on the cabin or resort grounds.
  8. Dogs are not permitted in swimming pool areas.
  9. Guest assumes all responsibility for any damages caused by pets brought to the property.
  10. Your dog(s) must be treated for fleas and groomed prior to your visit with us. Grooming should include an anti-shedding treatment.

We take extreme efforts to maintain appliances, electronics, cabin condition, furniture and amenities in good working order. Please note that your cabin is a vacation home so there may be some wear and tear noticed when you check-in. If you are concerned about the condition that you found something in, please let us know. The owner may be aware of a stain or minor tear but have yet to replace the item because it is in otherwise good working order or it may be on order to be replaced in the near future.  Sadly games, appliances, electronics can break unexpectedly during your stay. If something stops functioning properly during your visit, please contact our office. In some instances, it may be an issue that can be quickly remedied with guidance over the phone. For example, you may have difficulty turning the hot tub on. In most cases this is simply due to the hot tub going into sleep mode. Our staff is happy to guide you on how to remove it from sleep mode.

If you accidentally break something, it is important for you to immediately notify us. This will enable us to begin scheduling the necessary repairs or replacements. Up to $500 of accidental damage is provided with your reservation. Lack of notification will be considered intentional or due to negligence by the owner of the cabin. As such they will insist that the guest of record is charged for any damages discovered after departure.

Each vacation home is privately owned. The decor and amenities offered are personally chosen by the cabin owner. They have shared their home with you and hope that you will find it equally enjoyable. The features and amenities vary depending on your cabin choice. Cabins may have theater rooms, in-cabin pools, arcade rooms or spectacular mountain views. The photos included with each cabin are the best representation of the cabin’s unique features.

  • a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom
  • Each cabin features items like: HVAC, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, basic pots, pans, dishes, cookie sheet, baking pan, utensils, color TVs, fire extinguisher, smoke detectors.

We want you to enjoy your stay and ask that all guests please be respectful of others also trying to enjoy their vacation. In the event we are notified that you are disturbing the tranquil environment of others, you may be evicted without refund. If you have a neighboring guest that is being disrespectful and it is managed by Eden Crest, please notify us. If the cabin is not managed by Eden Crest, please contact the local police department. We are unable to affect any change, if the guest is not staying at an Eden Crest vacation home.

The Great Smoky Mountains is a popular vacation destination and has been experiencing growing demands for vacation rentals. New attractions and homes are being built throughout the area. Sadly, construction companies are not required to notify us of their construction plans. In the event that we discover ongoing construction, we will note it in the cabin description. Construction is beyond our control and again we are not at liberty to offer refunds under any circumstances.

Your cleaned refrigerator has not had any items in it for a while. As such it will take a couple of hours for all of the warm items you just filled it with to cool down. Please be patient. Keep the refrigerator door closed and do not change the thermostat. Moving the thermostat to a lower temperature will cause the refrigerator to freeze up.   If after two hours you have not noticed items cooling, please contact us so that we can dispatch maintenance.

Trash is removed upon your checkout. We respect your privacy and do not approach your cabin during your stay unless requested by you or as emergency dictates. If you would like trash picked up during your stay, please contact us. We request that you tie trash bags closed and place them in the outside containers with lids secured. If trash bins are in a bear proof bin, please make sure the cage is also closed.

Welcome to our mountain forest. You will be enjoying a ecosphere with many protected species, including protected insects. Your cabin is regularly treated for pest control so that your interior environment is not sustainable for them. If insects enter with you while you are unpacking the car, rest assured they will quickly die due to the pest control treatment. If you are swarmed or have concerns, feel free to call us.

Please do not feed or approach any of the full-time furry residents like bears, chipmunks, raccoons, coyotes, bobcats or elk. If you see  them, congratulations it is a great treat! Feel free to enjoy observing them from a safe distance. Bears for example should be viewed from 150 feet away. If a bear visits your porch, please stay indoors and view from your windows. Make sure you lock your car doors and do not leave any food in your car or on porches. These are potential hazards for our wildlife and could cost them their life.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted in any of our vacation homes. Eviction, damage charges and blacklisting may occur if a guest is discovered to have smoked in a cabin.

Fireplaces are turned off during spring and summer for safety reasons. They are turned on between October 1 through March 31st.
