Nearing End of Summer

As we head into August, we enter what is generally considered the last month of summer and the beginning of the school year. Making this the perfect time to get in a literal last minute vacation or getaway before the hectic school year begins.

Not only is there still plenty of beautiful weather left to enjoy, but there’s still a good bit to do.  Over at the Titanic Museum the Wallace Hartley Violin showing is still going on and will be ending on August 14. Dollywood’s Great American Summer continues until August 7th.  Then, up in Gatlinburg, the Free Parkway Trolley will be finishing up on August 14. What a perfect time to come especially as we are offering a 20% percent discount on all cabins during the whole month of August.

Also this whole month in Pigeon Forge is Celebrate Freedom month where participating business all around town offer discounts to active and veteran military personnel along with other first responders. This is our way of thanking them for all they do for us.

Near the end of the month we have the BASS Pro Shops NRA Night Race in Bristol, TN and the first football game for the University of Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville, TN. One our cabins would make a perfect home base for the race weekend or for the game.

It’s also not too early to talk about the future either. We are fast approaching the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, both of which are busy times for us here. You might want to get a jump on things and start planning now for your holiday vacations. The earlier you book the better chance of getting the cabin you want.

Summer may be ending, but as you can see things are picking up here in the Great Smoky Mountains area.
