Check In/Out Procedures
What is the nearest airport?
The closest airport is McGee/Tyson located just South of Knoxville, TN, and is approximately
50 miles from our office.
The Asheville, NC, airport is also within driving distance of approximately 90 miles.
When can we check into our cabin?
Our check-ins begin after 4:00pm. We try to have all cabins ready for check-in at that time.
In rare occasions, circumstances beyond our control delay that check-in time slightly. But rest assured, you will be able to check into your cabin as soon as we know the cabin is clean and has been inspected.
When do we need to check out of our cabin?
Checkout time is 10:00am.
We have a very high standard of cleanliness that we demand of our housekeeping staff. In order to provide you with cabins that meet our standards, they must have ample time to thoroughly clean each cabin between guests, therefore we must enforce our checkout time.
What are your office hours and what if we arrive after closing time?
Our office is open Sunday-Friday 8:30am-8:30pm and Saturday 8:30am-6:30pm.
If you will be arriving for check-in after our office is closed, simply let your reservationists know and special arrangements will be made to accommodate your arrival.
What is provided in the cabins?
All of our cabins are fully furnished with luxury amenities. All linens, bedding, pots, pans, dishes and utensils are provided for your convenience.
We also provide a starter packet of paper products that includes toilet tissue, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, and bath soap. These items are intended as “starter” items and will not be adequate for lengthy stays.
What should we bring with us?
We suggest you bring along a few items to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Since we only provide a starter packet of paper items we suggest you bring along an additional supply of toilet tissue, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, and bath soap.
We also suggest beach towels for use at our pool and hot tubs. Extra towels are not provided by Eden Crest. Since our area is in the mountains of East Tennessee the
elevation causes us to have cool evenings a jacket is suggested even in the middle of summer.
Do the cabins have maid service?
We do not include maid service with our normal rental. Cabin rental companies typically do not include this service.
We will however provide full maid service, upon request, for an additional fee. Ask your reservationist to quote the current rates based on your cabin size and length of stay.
What happens if I need to change or cancel my reservation?
Eden Crest Vacation Rentals, Inc. has a very strict No Refund policy. Once we block dates for your rental we cannot refund any portion of your payment.
We do however offer you two options. First, you can move your dates as long as you do so at least 30 days prior to your original arrival date.
How do we make payment for our rental?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. (We do not accept personal checks at any time.)
At the time of booking ½ of your cabin rental plus any applicable travel insurance is due. The remaining balance is due no later than 10 days prior to your arrival date.
Do you accept pets?
We have many pet friendly cabins to choose from.
Is there an age requirement for renting a cabin?
The minimum age to reserve a one to three bedroom cabin is 21. The minimum age to reserve a four bedroom or larger cabin is 25. Cabin occupancy is determined by the number of guest over the age of 12 years old. Children, teenagers, and young adults MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Sleeper sofas: A unit’s occupancy limit often includes the use of a sleeper sofa. Sleeper sofas are not recommended for adult use.
What is the elevation at the cabins?
The elevation varies from cabin to cabin.
We want you to feel secure with your cabin selection. All of Eden Crest Vacation Rentals, Inc. cabins are easily accessible by auto with NO 4-wheel drive needed.
The only exceptions might occur during unexpected icy situations during winter at a few select cabins.
Your reservationist can help answer any questions you might have about travel during that time period.
What time zone are you in?
The entire Smoky Mountain region is on Eastern Standard Time and observes Daylight Saving Time when it is in effect.
Check-in and check-out times, as well as our office hours, will be based on local time.
Do you decorate the cabins for the holidays?
Most of our cabins are decorated in time for Thanksgiving and remain so through the first of the year. Most cabins will have at least one Christmas tree, as well as other decorations provided by the individual cabin owner.
