Gatlinburg is home to many artists that have their studios in the Glades area Arts and Crafts Community.  A few years ago a group of artists decided, due to the rising costs of sky-high rental/leases, to start their own community of establishments, where artists could come and display their talents with a more hands on nature for the tourists.  So, they have moved out of the hustle bustle of town to the beautiful, peaceful area known and cherished by locals as the Glades Area!

Here you can drive through the peaceful area and stop off at each little nook to see the pieces of some of the most talented artists in the county.  Everything from paintings to pottery…you are sure to find something you'll have to have.

The Pigeon Forge area is home to several artists' galleries such as Jim Gray, Robert Tino, Wayne Newberry, and many more.  You'll find galleries and shops throughout the area featuring the artists' latest creations.  Sometimes you might be lucky enough to catch them at the gallery and get to watch as they create a masterpiece before your eyes.  You can view their artwork or purchase original paintings and prints.

So, make sure to leave space when packing to load all your purchase to get them home safe and sound.  If this is a problem then many of the galleries will ship your finds home for you.
